Knights would swear allegiance to the king of time, who would give them time to work, to socialise and become better knights, and ultimately to help him extend his kingdom.
Occasionally, time would be left for knights to spend with their families.
Until one day a knight decided he had enough. He had become a father, and decided that family was a priority. He would not join the other knights to eat together, drink together or go and watch the tournaments.
His fellow knights started to feel he was not committed to the cause of honouring time for time's sake.
His family though became used to his presence at home. He would only leave home when he had to. But even then, he would question the importance of his job as a knight.
He became isolated, irritable and very direct in his approach to things. He would not spend much time socialising. He would keep his thoughts to himself. He would run from one place to another.
He had fear. Fear of being forgotten by the kingdom.
But believe it or not, the kingdom kept going without him. Before becoming a father, he would think he was indispensable, but life kept going without him. Or him without life.
The story does not have an end, as life goes on.
All we know is that our knight keeps fighting with himself and learning to be more humble and loving.
So if you see this knight somewhere, just think he now belongs to another kingdom. That is all.
